The Young European Sculpture (YES) Program, funded by Erasmus+, is a prestigious transnational initiative designed to foster creative exchange between four major European art schools: TALM (Tours, France), ABAC (Carrara, Italy), AAL (Riga, Latvia), and FBAUP (Porto, Portugal). The program brought together 40 selected students (10 from each institution) through a series of three intensive Masterclasses and a final touring exhibition.
My involvement with the YES Program followed a unique and evolving trajectory. Originally selected as one of the participating artists for the first Masterclass in Tours, France, my professional background and technical performance led the organization to invite me to join the program's official staff for the subsequent stages.
Key Contributions:
Multimedia Documentation: I was commissioned to produce the official photographic documentation and the documentary film for Masterclass #2 in Porto.
Web Development: Following the success of the multimedia coverage, I developed and managed the program’s official website (yesculpture.eu), creating a digital hub for the project's visibility.
Editorial Design: I was responsible for the layout, photo editing, and graphic design of the Porto Masterclass pedagogical book, a publication documenting the research and sculptural processes developed during the residency.
As the only student across all four international institutions to participate in every single stage of the project—from the initial residency to the final exhibition—I moved from a participant to an integral part of the program’s organizational structure. This experience allowed me to bridge the gap between artistic creation and institutional communication, solidifying my research into how artistic processes are recorded and transformed into collective memory.
