Following my dual role as both a participating artist and a multimedia documentarian for the Young European Sculpture (YES) Program, I was formally commissioned by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP) and i2ADS (Research Institute in Art, Design and Society) to join the editorial team and lead the graphic design and layout for the Masterclass #2 pedagogical booklet, titled "Landscapes of Post-consumption."
The decision by these institutions to entrust me with this publication was a direct result of my deep immersion in the project. Having documented every stage of the Porto Masterclass, I possessed an intimate understanding of the creative processes, the textures of the materials used, and the pedagogical objectives of the residency. This "insider’s perspective" allowed me to translate the physical experience of the sculpture workshops into a sophisticated and cohesive editorial format.
My work involved the complete graphic design and pagination of the book, where I sought to create a visual dialogue between academic texts and raw, process-oriented photography. By balancing technical rigor with artistic sensitivity, "Landscapes of Post-consumption" serves not only as a pedagogical record but as a visual extension of the sculptural interventions developed during the program, exploring themes of sustainability and the resignification of obsolete objects.
