Ecos Imateriais was a collective exhibition featuring the final projects of the Master’s in Art and Design for the Public Space at the University of Porto. Although I had not yet completed my own Master’s degree at the time, I was formally invited by the Master’s Technical Committee to participate as a Guest Artist.
My participation in this exhibition focused on the visual representation of the passage of time. I presented the video series "Em Tempo" (In Time), which includes three distinct pieces: Túnel (Tunnel), Árvores (Trees), and Samambaia (Fern).
These works utilize long-exposure and time-lapse cinematography to compress extended durations into brief, perceptible visual events. In this specific exhibition, the focus was strictly on the installation of the moving image as a digital archive of time, exploring how different landscapes (urban, natural, and botanical) react to the camera’s temporal dilation.
