Objectos especulativos sobre vegetação e perturbação (Speculative Objects on Vegetation and Disturbance) is a solo exhibition by artist-researcher Miguel Costa, presented at Casa das Artes, Porto. The project brings together a body of research focused on “lesser landscapes”, examining the social and ecological dynamics of vegetation in neglected urban environments.
The contribution to the exhibition encompassed documentary photography, video post-production and the production of an exhibition documentary. The photographic work documents the relationship between the installations and the architectural space of Casa das Artes, establishing a visual record of the exhibition. The video work included the post-production of a video installation, as well as the direction and editing of a short documentary film capturing the exhibition and its spatial configuration. Together, these elements extend the visual and conceptual framework of the project.
In parallel, production support involved close collaboration with the artist and curatorial team throughout the installation process. This included the placement and assembly of photographic, cartographic and living elements, contributing to the material articulation of the exhibition’s spatial and conceptual structure.
