Objetos Especulativos (Speculative Objects on Vegetation and Disturbance) is a solo exhibition by artist-researcher Miguel Costa, presented at Casa das Artes in Porto. The project synthesizes research into "lesser landscapes"—the social lives of vegetation flourishing in neglected urban territories.
My involvement in this exhibition was multifaceted, bridging technical execution and production. I was responsible for the documentary photography of the entire exhibition, capturing the dialogue between the installations and the architectural space of Casa das Artes. Furthermore, I produced the video pieces integrated into the exhibition, which functioned as windows into the "disturbed" territories studied by the artist.
Beyond the visual registration, I provided active production support, collaborating directly with the artist and the curatorial team (Inês Moreira and Beatriz Duarte) in the exhibition's physical assembly. This role involved the precise installation of photographs, maps, and living components, ensuring the materialization of the complex geopolitical and ecological narratives proposed by the artist.
